Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Kinston, North Carolina, Javad Suggs is a Registered Architect wit over 15 years of experience spanning various sectors, including mixed-use, healthcare, residential, commercial, industrial, and facilities management. His career has been defined by his ability to successfully deliver projects ranging from $300K to $325M, with a focus on design equity, while creating dynamic and memorable spaces. 

Javad is a proud alumnus of Howard University's School of Architecture, where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture as a Howard University Trustee Scholar in 2009. During his time at Howard, he also served as President of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students, exemplifying his commitment to leadership and community engagement.

Currently serving as an Architect/Space Planner at Bowie State University, Javad works closely with the Director of Faculties to oversee the implementation of capital projects aligned with the University's strategic mission. His efforts ensure that the University's buildings and grounds provide safe, comfortable, and attractive environments that foster discovery, learning, and growth. Previously, he has held pivotal roles such as Project Architect at THW Design and Senior Architect/Space Management Specialist for Amentum, demonstrating his versatility and expertise across various architectural and management disciplines. Among Javad's greatest passions is mentoring young architecture students and preparing emerging professionals for licensure. He is deeply committed to guiding the next generation of architects toward success, sharing his knowledge and experiences to inspire and empower their journeys.

Beyond his professional achievements, Javad is a creative at heart. He finds joy in creating [digital] art and playing piano, activities that reflect his artistic sensibility and passion for design. Whether mentoring, navigating architectural challenges, or creating visual art, his commitment to excellence and creativity shines through.
